The portrait, not the cartoon
There's a lot of pet art out there, and most of it leans cartoony. Me & My Pet is intentionally painterly, soft, warm, the kind of portrait you'd find in a real children's book. Your kid is your kid. Your dog is your dog. The friendship is the whole subject.
